How is CAPCE-accredited CE reviewed?

CAPCE-accredited courses have been submitted by the CE provider for review by an independent third party, CAPCE.  Applications are assessed by EMS professionals, EMS educators, and EMS medical directors, who all have substantial experience in EMS practice and EMS education.

Reviewers rate the application on elements of sound educational design and on the infrastructure in place to deliver the CE activity, respond to student questions, and maintain and upload complete and accurate course completion records.  With all CE formats, the CAPCE activity number and accreditation statement means that the CE provider has made an effort to ensure that the product meets the CAPCE criteria for quality educational design and for effective delivery.
